Mint and cacao beans are exceptionally high in antioxidants. This cacao LivWell protein and mint layered smoothie is refreshing and nourishing. It makes an awesome post workout drink, or can even be a healthy dessert as it eases digestion and contains anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients

Cacao Layer

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2-3 scoops LivWell cacao protein

Mint layer

  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • Spinach if desired for extra nutrition and green color
  • Optional: top with cacao nibs or extra mint leaves

Directions

Place frozen banana and cacao LivWell protein in a blender. Blend, and then pour into glass once smooth. Place in freezer for 5-10 minutes to slightly harden. While you wait, blend together frozen banana and mint leaves. Add spinach if desired. Once smooth and blended well, and after 5-10 minutes has been up, add the mint layer on top of the cacao layer. Top with cacao nibs, extra mint leaves or both.
